Ubuntu

I am because you are.

I exist because you exist.

It’s a two way thing.

I (can) do because you (can) do.

I’m available to you. You are to me.

I don’t feel threatened by you. Neither do you.

I blog you read. You blog I read.

I learn because you teach. I teach, you learn.

We belong to a greater whole.

For a greater good.

I therefore can’t exist in isolation.

Ubuntu. The way of life.

  1. Nice one Ochuko…I had to google ubuntu 2 know what it means and I found this beautiful definition by the Archbishop Desmond Tutu…

“A person with Ubuntu is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good, for he or she has a proper self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or diminished, when others are tortured or oppressed”…

Ubuntu is indeed a principle to live by…

  2. My one and only Ochuko. How have you been buddy?

Is that what Ubuntu means? I saw the title and it took me back to this south african song by Brenda Fassie with similar title.

I like the concept of the post. I need you, you need me. Reminds me of this song “I need you” by Hezekiah Walker.

    • @Naijagirl, lovely song. I’m fine and I trust you and yours are doing very very well. True, we all need each other to survive.
Like how I survive on your blog and TGIFs 🙂

    • Hey bro Chari!!… Long time oooooo, where is B’cup???? hmmmm…
Yeah Ubuntu is that Linux OS and they built it on the ‘Ubuntu’ principle of U & I 🙂
