City of the Blind

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man doesn’t exist!!
Isn’t it called the land of the blind? How come there’s a one-eyed man?
How come he’s king?

A city set on a hill
Is like a light that can’t be hid
Men don’t light candles and put it under a bushel
But on a candlestick; and it gives light to all

The people want to be led and will go anywhere
But they have been led and they followed
The blind leading the blind
To nowhere

Let the blind acknowledge their blindness
Let those who have eyes see and lead
Not with distorted, ‘one-eyed’ view
But with a clear, complete view of the direction of light
Mediocrity will not be celebrated
The ‘one-eyed’ man will not be king
It was never the City of the Blind
A land set on the hill it was

Who has eyes?
Who can see?
The people await YOU to lead
